Converting VMWare to Hyper-V

Virtualisation is a very hot topic at the moment, and although VMWare are definitely on top of the pile Microsoft's is set to make a challenge with its soon to be released Hyper-V offering which is now in release candidate stage. VMWare have got years of experience on their side, and may even have a more polished product (if you believe all the VMWare blog posts) but Microsoft are set to have a massive advantage, particularly with SMEs, as Hyper-V is a key feature of Windows Server 2008.

Since I got my new Dell M1330, I've been looking to rebuild my virtual environment and while browsing around the net I came across this blog post by Ken Schaefer (fellow IIS MVP) who has just converted his VMWare environment to the release candidate of Hyper-V. If you are currently using VMWare (who isn't) and have been thinking about trying out your virtual environment under Hyper-V, then it is well worth the read.
