For years I've been using the services at dnsreport.com to validate DNS and email configurations. I've not used them in a while and had to recently and found that they have shifted to a pay for use service. While I have no problem with them doing this at all, it does mean that dnsreport.com no longer suits my needs (i.e free to use for ad hoc reports) and I needded to find an alternative.

After a bit of searching around I found what I was looking for at intoDNS. From what I could see the reports generated from intoDNS are almost identical to those that dnsreport.com used to provide for free. In fact, if anything they are probably even a little less cluttered to read. It would seem that this report from intoDNS is designed specifically to attract former users of dnsreport.com that have been alienated by the shift to a fee paying service, which is all good in my book. For now at least, I'll be using intoDNS for all my DNS and email server validation reporting.
