You guys that are good at programming...how the hell did you leanr it??!!!

I've just finished a one week basic course in C Programming and now have to do a piece of coursework on it, and I'm nearly crying in my lap. I can spend hours trying to work out why something isn't working and it turns out to be because I missed out a ; or something.

I got to a couple of forums to ask for help, and I get answers like 'use strncmp' and so then I spend another 3 hours trying to work out how to do that, and at the end of it just delete it because it still doesn't work.

It's driving me mad. :hammer: :hammer: :hammer:

I'm lost on it too ted :-). I've never done any training on programming, and my only real background comes from writting DOS batch scripts for the last 10 years as a part of my job. That's why Mith does all the coding ;-)
