Site List Generation Failed on Windows 2003 R2 SP2

Hello all
When installing iis-aid with fastCGI on Windows 2003 R2 SP2 I recieve the below error in the dosbox
"Determining IIS base version...found IIS5/6
Searching for IIS's AdminScripts directory...not found
Unable to autodetect your IIS root. We need adsutil.vbs to continue.
Please enter your IIS root (C:\inetpub):"
I of course give it the correct path but it simply returns the same error.
If I then terminate the dosbox I recieve an error "Site List Generation Failed"
IIS is not installed to the default of C:\InetPub but D:\Win32app\Microsoft\InetPub.
I have checked the file permissions and although not the default give me (Admin) and iusr_%computername% and Users sufficient access to both read and write.
(Of course admin has full control).
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Mark,

The adsutil.vbs script is required by the installer as that is the tool it uses to generate the site list and extract data it requires from the metabase. Do you have adsutil.vbs anywhere on your system?

Hi Dom
IIS is installed and functional.
The adsutil.vbs is located in the D:\Win32app\Microsoft\Inetpub\AdminScripts which is as you can see relative to the original InetPub structure.

At this point there is only the default site installed but as mentioned the path is
D:\Win32app\Microsoft\Inetpub
\AdminScripts
\wwwroot

Thanks for reporting back. Not sure what is going on in that case. I'll do some testing and see what I can find.
