Event-ID 1003 (IIsInfoCtrs)
Morning,
I'm running an IIS5 under w2k server.
I get this event 1003-"Unable to query the IIS Info service performance data. The error code returned by the service is data DWORD 0" in the application-log
for several weeks now once on each system-boot. All services are up. I updated the performance counters (unlodctr/lodctrs on w3svc, asp, inetinfo), but that was no help.
This event is always accompanied by another event-id 1015 (PerfLib) which comes afterwards.
Any experience what may have gone wrong?

I had one just recently with the Indexing service that gave similar errors, however I was able to resolve that by reloading the counters. If it comes to worst you might want to look up How to manually rebuild Performance Counter Library values.
