What infrustructure can enable me to allow my users to collect their e-mail from my servers using their mobile phones? :-o

Hi sibusisom,

I'm no mobile phone guru, but for a start I imagine your users will need to have WAP (Wireless Access Protocol) enabled mobile phones, and of course you will need a WAP service provider. From here I would think you'd just need to configure the POP and/or IMAP connectors on Exchange which I think you are using if I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong).

Other than that there well may be dedicated software that converts e-mails to SMS and forwards messages automatically to all text enabled phones. This might be an option if only a few of your users have WAP phones, or if you do not have a WAP provider in your area.

I finally managed to get some info on the topic. You need a static IP address for your mail server,an incoming line to your server that your users will use to dial-in and your users will use their username/passwords that they normally use on their e-mail clients and thats it.
