Has anyone tested Windows XP Service Pack 2 yet?

I haven't actually looked at it yet. It seems to be very targeted towards security which is a double edged sword. On one hand I think it is great that Microsoft are really starting to take security of their products seriously, and support them in any move forward in this direction. On the other hand this added security is going to add a lot of complexity to peoples XP environments. There are estimates that 1 out of 10 (possibly more) applications will experience problems due to the upgrade to service pack 2. My advice is to test well and trully in advance of any production level roll outs. Have a read of this article for a good run down.
Hey Brash!! I had a look at Microsoft Technet magazine and these are the areas that i picked up and to be honest with you they drew my attention

The revision of Internet Sharing Firewall that can be turned on with or without exceptions.
A new local zone in IE,Lockdown facility,built-in unti-spyware :-D, a popup blocker :pint: , Automatic download blocker.
SUS client ver 2 wich i think will bring my case to rest finally.The ability to restart interrupted updates:-)
But as you say one has to test it before deploying it to avoid :hammer:
