since yesterday, i have had a problem with my computer.

I 1st noticed the problem when i went to move some files from my pc to my 2nd pc via network.

The network connections have disappeared and no matter what i try, i am unable to get the network enabled.

Device manager is showing just a plain blank window with nothing displaying.

I have checked on microsoft site and their solution failed.. the solution they say is because plug n play is disabled. I have checked in services and plug n play is set on automatic and is running, disabling it and rebooting, then enabling it, failed to rectify the problem.

I use SQL very few time and always tried to avoid using it. I use it but only the basics I haven't really used SQL in several years. I got lazy and used the wizard on the application. I was in deep despair after having scratched in my very first test for OCP certification. I'm week on Pl/SQL programming. I'm seeking opinion regarding training courses, practice test, books etc needed to pass the exam. I have simulation kit for exam 1Z0-147 and fact and study guide attached with questions helping me. And all it in 70% discount, its just a good deal more than 280 questions and 80 study notes. Oracle Press (Osborne/McGraw-Hill) and Oracle press free downloads are mind blowing material and free of cost, OOfs database is very confusing and to relate each table, generating query, Basic Oracle Net Architecture, Basic Oracle Net Services Client-Side Configuration, Backup and Recovery Overview cleared from this stuff.

MCSA/MCSE 2003 JumpStart by Lisa Donald, Lisa Donald apart from Microsoft trainning kit would be helpful for MCSE exam. But I've always liked ucertify simulation and Sybex books as an alternative to books and study guides released by vendors for cert exams.

Hi,

I have a little problem with automatic updates. Cannot turn it off or do any change about it. When I click the Automatic update label in My computer properties all options are passive, I can only see that the updates are set to automatic and thats it. Does anybody know what do I have to tweak so the menu becomes active?

Thak you.

I have a very stupid question but i really need clarification
there is no use in thinking to myself that i know whereas i might be wrong.

Ok,when you do a Windows update through dialup and you review and install updates right, when your updates are downloading you get a dialog box saying Download progress 2MB/6MB for example right, and it goes right up to 6MB/6MB and your install progress starts using the time and it goes and goes you get disconnected and it stops and you reconnect it progresses.

My question is: where are the files being installed from after they have been downloaded fro
